Colorado Bound!

With my husband being gone for the month and me with not much to do I decided to pack my bags and head out to Colorado with Josh, Joel, Lydia, Sara, Autumn, Noah, Sarge, and Echo. We caravanned out, spent the night in Kansas and made it to their new homes in Colorado Springs. The mountains are beautiful as usual, but Lydia and I also really enjoyed the rolling hills, abandoned farms, and random Wizard of Oz billboards through Kansas.

We finally made it here after a couple days of driving and since then have simply been getting settled and exploring the area. Josh & Lydia's house is outdated, but clean and perfect for a fully furnished temporary home. It's been treating us well. Joel & Sara's apartment (which they move into on Tuesday) is real cute and up the side of the mountain so it's a cool view of the city on the way up.

We haven't done much, but last night the three of us girls & Joel decided to head out to New Life Church in Northern Colorado Springs (the home church of Desperation Band & The Bevere's) to check out their worship & service night for college & 20's (The Mill). We got there and to our surprise the three of us girls ended up in a women's conference with Stasi Eldredge speaking!! We got in for free since we were coming for The Mill. We were really excited since we had all read her book "Captivating" and look up to her as an author and a woman of God. The sermon was great & although we missed the second day of the conference the worship and service last night was fantastic. It seems like a great church! Earlier that day we had tried to get free Dave Ramsey tickets since he is speaking on post and they were sold out, so getting to hear Stasi speak last night totally made up for missing out on Dave!

Here's a picture of the cute setup!!

Today we're supposed to be headed to Pike's Peak & tomorrow we're supposed to meet up with our good friend Jessica who lives near Denver! So excited to see her!! If we go to Pike's Peak I will make sure to take plenty of pictures! Also, John is doing well too. We talk as often as we can, but unfortunately our skype hasn't been working which is  a bummer. He's doing awesome as usual though and keeps impressing his instructors over & over again. Very blessed to have a smart, talented, hardworking, and determined husband!

He even sent me a big box of chocolates and flowers yesterday! I miss him so much! I couldn't have asked for a better husband.

Yummy Dark Chocolates!

And lastly, here are some random pictures of life here so far!

Me & Joel hanging out in Josh & Lydia's guest bedroom.

Josh in his new truck outside his new house.

Noah trying to figure out what color his eyes are.

Me & Autumn cuddling watching some Berenstain Bears.

Joel in Josh & Lydia's front yard. Pretty view of the mountains!

Love and miss you all!!
